Your Intuition:  Your Most Valuable Parenting Tool

Do you remember a time when you got an intuitive hunch and did not follow it? Did you later wish you had? Were you unsure if it was really true intuition or just your imagination?

Do you wish you could just KNOW what is best for you and your family? Especially when it seems that everybody else (family members, “experts”, and even well meaning strangers) are telling you what is best for you?

You DO have access to wise and practical guidance to help you make decisions that bring you joy and peace in your personal life, as well as with your children. This guidance is available to you 24/7 and it is free! It can help you with big decisions, like, “how can I help my child with the challenges he is experiencing at school?”, and with smaller day-to-day choices like, “how can I stop this power struggle with my child right now?”

This valuable guidance is called your intuition. Your intuition is a built-in communication system that we all have. It allows us to connect with our heart, own inner wisdom and divine guidance.

Divine guidance is available to us from a place of unconditional love and higher perspective. It may come from different sources, depending on which you feel most comfortable with: God (our Creator), your Higher Self, angels, and/or Ascended Masters (like Jesus and Mother Mary). Why try to make decisions all by yourself, when you are divinely supported by a team of experts who love you and know what is really best for you and your loved ones?

How to Access Your Intuition

  1. Intend to.  Your intention to connect with your inner knowingness and/or divine helpers for the highest good of all those concerned, is the first step to accessing your intuition.  Your powerful intention makes it so.

  2. Ask.  Ask for guidance by asking a question.  You can ask the question silently in your head, out loud, or by writing it.

  3. Listen.  You will receive an answer to your question, so pay attention to your intuitive senses:

  • Feelings (emotions, physical sensations).

  • Vision (images in your head, physical signs).

  • Hearing (voice you hear inside your head, may sound like yours or somebody else's).

  • Thoughts (knowingness without knowing how you know).

     4.  Trust.  Trust that you can easily access your intuition and recognize the messages you are getting.

True Intuitive Guidance vs. False Guidance

True intuitive guidance is always loving. It leaves you with a feeling of inner peace and well-being. It is positive and empowers you. It makes you feel safe, even if it is warning you of danger. True intuitive guidance is consistent, clear and to the point.

False guidance is what some may call “just my imagination” or ego thoughts. It is usually based on fear and leaves you feeling worried. It also separates you from others by making you believe you are better or worse than them. False guidance can also be wishful thinking, recognizable because it is inconsistent, wordy, and feels forced. It leaves you feeling doubtful.

Real Life Examples

Thomas, Karen’s 3 year old son, was waking up every night with nightmares. He was also experiencing high anxiety and would tune-out his parents when they talked to him. When Karen asked her divine intuition how to best help her son, she got the message to remove the electronic devices from Thomas’ bedroom, to turn off the T.V. during the day, to visualize Archangel Michael clearing negative energy from Thomas' body and room, and got specific guidance as to what to do to remain peaceful during stressful times. As soon as Karen implemented these suggestions, Thomas stopped having nightmares, became more responsive to his parents, and was better able to focus.

A few months ago, my 6 year old son, Zachary, was invited to join the boys’ gymnastics team. His new (1st grade) school and gymnastics schedule would be very demanding on him and I was concerned if he did both. I was torn between all the contradicting advice and opinions I was getting from teachers, family members, friends, “experts” and even my own ideas of what is best for children regarding after-school activities. Before I made a decision, I decided to ask my son’s Higher Self what was best for him. I heard the following message, “Zachary has come to earth to experience many things, especially physically demanding experiences. He wants to see how much he can do in his body. Let him do it. Do not place your own fears onto him. He will let you know when he is done with this experience. Just let him know you support him with whatever he chooses.” I trusted the message and now I am so glad I did. Zachary is passionate about his gymnastics experience and is thriving in all areas because he is doing what he loves.

Trusting Your Intuition

The more you practice using your intuition, the stronger your intuitive muscles get and the more confidence you gain. You notice how you receive true guidance and which intuitive channels you use the most.

Trust that you are divinely guided and supported. You have access to all the answers and assistance you need to live a life of abundance, peace and joy. Intend to access your intuitive guidance, Ask, Listen & Trust!
