Dear parents and
caregivers,
It is with much excitement that I am writing this
first issue of Children Lights' newsletter! It is my
intention that this newsletter brings to you blessings, useful
information and resources to help you in your important job of raising
and caring for your precious children.
This past year has been one of incredible personal
growth for me. During that time, I was given the opportunity to
empower myself and define what is really important to me, what makes my
heart dance with joy. After going within for inner reflection and
asking for divine guidance, I've discovered that the most important
things in my life are: having a balanced, peaceful and joyful home
life and empowering moms, families and children to have a balanced,
peaceful and joyful life as well.
During this process of self-growth and empowerment, I
learned the importance of two things:
-
being supported (by like-minded people and
friends)
-
trusting my inner guidance, no matter what other
people say.
In this issue I will share with you two places where
you could find the support of like-minded people to make your journey of
empowerment for yourself and your family easier: The Holistic Moms
Network and the "Making Connections to Shape our Spiritual Visions"
conferences. This month's message, "Following Your Heart" is
an invitation to moms to honor themselves and follow their heart's
desires.
Blessings & Love,
Dumari Dancoes

MONTHLY MESSAGE:
Following Your Heart
As mothers, it is a very common belief to put other's
needs and desires before your own. For centuries the role of
motherhood has been exemplified by dedicated women who have given their
lives in service to their children and families. Most of these
mothers have done this job out of love, but also out of a sense of
obligation stemming from a belief that in order to be a good mother, you
have to sacrifice your own heart's desires.
The job of mothers is a noble one, a path of
dedication and service. This is true, especially during the early
years when children still depend greatly on you to have their needs met.
But, it is also important to honor and nurture yourself as well.
Just like you take care of your children, nurture
them and provide them with what you believe is best for them, it is
equally essential for you to do the same for yourself.
The best gift you can give others is your happiness.
From a state of joy and fulfillment, you are able to offer your best to
your family. Children also learn by example, so as they see you
honoring yourself and your passions, they learn to do the same for
themselves. This is especially important for Indigo and Crystal
children, who need role models who follow their passions and have
personally meaningful activities in their lives.
Take time to go within and ask yourself... "What are
my needs? What can I do to nurture myself? What can I do
today that will help me feel joyful, excited, peaceful, balanced, and
empowered?" See yourself doing these things that your heart is
guiding you to do. See in it detail until you can feel the joy and
excitement that comes with honoring yourself. Make a commitment
today to follow your heart. As you do this, remember to ask your
heavenly helpers (angels and guides) for help in bringing blessings for
your highest good and that of your family.
Give yourself the gift of listening to your heart and
following its guidance... the best gift for yourself and
your family.

Holistic Moms Network

The Holistic Moms Network offers support, education
and resources for moms interested in alternative/natural healthcare and
mindful parenting.
This is an amazing resource for moms who have chosen
a more natural/holistic lifestyle for themselves and their families.
The Holistic Moms Network is a rapidly growing, national, non-profit
organization with mom-led chapters starting all over the U.S.
I am proud to announce that I am bringing the
Holistic Moms Network to Southern New Hampshire! We have kicked
off our chapter this month with an Open House. We had a great
turnout and look forward to our monthly meetings, where guest speakers
will share their expertise on holistic topics.

Children's Intuitive
Experiences
"My child Natasha, now 7 years old has always been
very connected to the angels and divine messages. There is one particular
story that still gives me the chills.
"This happened last year. She was 6, and was sitting on the kitchen
island, helping me string beans. I was very sad that day...as we all are
sometimes. I was feeling totally devoid of love. I was thinking about
it, and then reached up to Heavens in despair, and asked God, "Where can
I find love?". I had not spoken a word! I was doing all this talking
only in my mind. But as soon as I asked this question, my 6 year old
looked up at me and said, "You don't have to go find love. Love is all
around you, and within you". Needless to to say...I was quite stunned.
"There is one more story I wish to share. When my daughter was in
Kindergarten, she talked about the immortality of soul to me. We were at
the bus stop, and waiting for her school bus to come. She was playing
around, being a typical KinderGartener. Then suddenly she stopped, and
told me, "You know mama? There is no such thing as dying. No one ever
dies, no one really is ever born. We were always there, and we will
always be". After giving me this bit of news, and leaving me speechless
again, she resumed being a brat as if nothing had happened!
"These incidents and many others with her make me think...how connected
are our children to the Divine!" (Swati, Massachussetts)
It is very common for children to have intuitive
experiences. These experiences may range from seeing angels and/or
spirits, premonitions, telepathy, pre-birth communication with parents,
spiritual healing, telekinesis (moving objects with thoughts), spiritual
wisdom, past-life memories, etc.
If your child has had an intuitive experience, please
share it with other parents who will benefit from knowing about it.
Parents learn from each others' experiences, plus it is comforting to
know that you are not alone in your "special" parenting experiences.
If you have a story that you would like to share, please email it to me
at
dumari@childrenlights.com and write "STORY" on the headline.
